Be confident, be bold, be Fearless

If you know earlier this year we changed up our website quite a bit.

And the one thing I was scared of was anything going wrong. And, of course Murphy’s law, things went wrong.

We’re really lucky to have an amazing bunch of women who support our business who supported us while we straightened things out.

I jokingly said to our amazing website builder that maybe I’m manifesting something (Heat was the month that got HOT) and we should call the next box MILLIONAIRE or something like that, to much giggles.

I thought it about it for a while, those words, and manifesting, and I thought fearless.

Because that’s what we are.

We do things differently here – and we’re not scared to say so and shine a light on what we see as unethical business practices.

We often spend a fair amount of time doubting ourselves and wondering if we’re good enough.

It’s time to stop.

It’s time to chant positive messages to ourselves.

Building a business is scary.

I won’t lie, I’ve cried. I’ve wanted to give up at times. But I talk myself around, I get back up.

And I act like I’m fearless.

Be confident, be bold, be fearless.

The businesses we included this month are fearless too.

And while it might be weird to some people to shout out another subscription box, I absolutely love Kim from the Chocolate Tour, and I love her boxes of delicious chocolate. While I’m not currently a subscriber, I have been in the past, and she has my second favourite subscription box in the world. (Obvs my favourite is ours!).

Kim partnered with Koko Body (vegan skincare) to create an amazing Cacao Face Mask. I knew we had to have this – and it’s AMAZING.

We’ve got a post scheduled later in the week where we get to meet Kim in our Meet the Maker series.

These scarves from Stilen are a little bit funky, a little bit quirky, will pep up your outfit and put an inspiring jump in your step. You’re amazing!

The most amazing chocolate from Greytown Honey – we got a lot of comments from our subscribers on this one – where do we start! Mel and I tried this at the gift fair in Christchurch a few weeks ago and I’m still thinking about it now! It’s fantastic – I’m sure you’ll be putting in an extra order as soon as you finish this bar – pure decadence. I never even knew choc and honey could be this good.

While at that same gift fair we got to meet Libby from Sweet Escape – and while Jo struggles to get out the shower at this time of year she thought these shower steamers are perfect to while away an extra 10 mins or so to escape. Keep them out of the direct water stream and they’ll last all week!

And then we included chip clips. Because why not – a little fun, a little quirky, but also practical!

Meeting the makers really shines a light on how much we love introducing their products to you! Shopping local really does support a dream.
